Severus' heart sank upon seeing that small, velvety box.
“I thought we agreed about this the last time we discussed it.”

“We never discussed it. You walked out, remember? I couldn't even answer...”

“Your answer is marriage? Are you daft? I'll be lynched the moment this goes public. People will assume I was buggering you at Hogwarts...”

“You weren't.”

“Let's get back to basics, Potter. I'm a dammed Death-Eater. I was Voldemort's...”

“Please, don't lie. You were mine all along.”

“That's not the point!”

“We are in love. We can't hide it forever. It's time to face the music, Severus.”

That is my favorite line. because it is so true.

from the tidbit it seems that Severus is so concerned with what other people think that he is trying to use that as an excuse from letting himself enjoy fully his relationship with Harry. He needs to let go and relax!

I really understand Severus' fear, but Harry is right - Severus was Harry's. Always. Just like Harry always was Severus'. People will talk, it's true. But they could go to hell, it doesn't matter. Severus and Harry love each other and it is really important.

Severus, let Harry handle the mobs with the torches, and everything will work out fine. especially once it comes out that HARRY asked SEVERUS to marry him, and not the other way around!

poor stressed Severus...he needs a honeymoon someplace they don't know the two of them. with a SPA, and MASSAGES. :D

This was cute. Poor Severus, I expect he's quite concerned about how the public-at-large is going to react. Harry doesn't give a fig as long as he gets his man!

They were each other's all along! And isn't that the best thing ever? Anybody who thinks otherwise is mentally challenged and probably blind and deaf as well. I can imagine no other ways not to know that. After all it is a basic fact;)
