Severus' heart sank upon seeing that small, velvety box.
“I thought we agreed about this the last time we discussed it.”

“We never discussed it. You walked out, remember? I couldn't even answer...”

“Your answer is marriage? Are you daft? I'll be lynched the moment this goes public. People will assume I was buggering you at Hogwarts...”

“You weren't.”

“Let's get back to basics, Potter. I'm a dammed Death-Eater. I was Voldemort's...”

“Please, don't lie. You were mine all along.”

“That's not the point!”

“We are in love. We can't hide it forever. It's time to face the music, Severus.”

Harry's basics and Severus' are very different! ^_^

That is my favorite line. because it is so true.

from the tidbit it seems that Severus is so concerned with what other people think that he is trying to use that as an excuse from letting himself enjoy fully his relationship with Harry. He needs to let go and relax!

It's true that the boys' ideas of what is basic here are completely different. Although I can understand Severus' caution I doubt it will make either of them happy in the end. Harry's plan should get them there eventually, though.

You are right when you say that Severus needs to follow Harry's lead and relax a bit. He's got not just any old hero, but The Savior himself, on his side. Nothing can possibly go wrong. At least not for long...
