“What's such a classy bloke doing on a dump like this?  Want some company?”

Severus stiffened from head to toes.  'I'm going to kill Harry for putting me through this.'
“I'm waiting for someone.  I'm not... available. ”

“Really?”  The stranger frowned, looking genuinely disappointed.  “Your bloke is an idiot, mate.  I'd take you to posh restaurants and the theater if you were mine.”

“But I'm not yours.”  Severus growled, annoyed.

“I see...  Your man isn't just criminally insane.  He's lucky, too.”

“Yeah.  I'm the luckiest bloke on Earth.”  Harry whispered, having finally arrived.  “Thank you for reminding me, mate.”

I really, really, really love the word "mate". I don't even know why. :)
I'm sure Harry takes Severus to "posh restaurants and the theater" if Severus wants to go there.

LOL. Actually I was trying to play with the idea that Harry doesn't take Severus to posh restaurants or the theater at all. That doesn't matter to Sev, though, since he's still putting up with Harry's choice and obviously happy enough with that decision to turn someone a bit more... in tune... with the kind of things he may like without a second thought. Sev loves Harry despite his failings, that was where I was going with this one, myk, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, as always, for taking the time to both read and review another work of mine. I wonder if the mysterious man left with a hex or three from Harry. Probably not... although he was hitting on Harry's man.
A very original idea and entertaining end result (not for poor bloke, I am almost convinced that Harry did hex him at the end) Bravo, dear!

LOL. I'm shocked you didn't assume the one to hex him would have been Severus. I like the idea that Harry has been around his lover for long enough to get some of his vengeful traits, someone should definitely have done something to this poacher, so let's go ahead and assume that Harry is just that possessive. I promise not to tell if you don't. :D
