Summary: Severus Snape doesn't have a particularly accommodating nature. But he is willing to make an effort when the right man insists...
Since You Insist...
Severus Snape is a private, wary Slytherin. He's in love, but believes himself too... charmless... to pull off outright seduction.
Unwilling to expose his heart to the daunting humiliation of rejection, he uses Harry's inexplicable hero-worship to his benefit. He discourages an auror career, supporting the DADA apprenticeship. Openly despises the French boyfriend, the Quidditch-nut and the mousy librarian, until Potter finally explodes:
“If you want me for yourself just take me, for fuck's sake! I'm yours, Severus. Yours!”
“There's no need to scream, Harry.” Severus smirks triumphantly. “I'd be delighted to... take you, since you insist on being... mine.”

P.S. A librarian? Hmm, now that is something to consider;)
I enjoyed this one immensely:)

I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this drabble, my friend. Thanks, as always, for your lovely comment.
PS: Have you already moved to Scotland, btw? And where exactly are you moving, if you don't mind me asking? I absolutely love it over there. From all the places that I've both visited and lived in along the years Scotland is my very favourite one. It holds some of my most precious memories, too. My first, ever, romantic vacation with the man I ended up marrying, my actual wedding, my first, and third and fifth anniversaries... I hope you are as happy there as I was every time I visited the place, my friend.

I wonder how long it really took for Potter to explode - maybe he was seeing those other blokes to make Severus jealous.

Judging by Harry's rather flustered claims, I'd dare say you are right, you know? There's a pretty good chance that he picked all those guys on purpose to rile Severus up. Obviously he should have known that Sev, being Sev, he wouldn't be the one to cave in first...
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this drabble, soLeo. Thanks, as usual, for keeping up with my work. :)

*applause* beautifully done! (and OMG yes, that would be a smirk to behold!)

I agree with you on the point that his insufferably satisfied smirk would have been a sight to behold indeed. I think I'd have happily paid a sackful of Galleons just to see it...
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this drabble, my friend. Thanks, as always, for your wonderfully funny comment, fallconsmate. Hearing from you has the power to cheer me up, no matter what I'm doing. :D
