A/N: I'd like to dedicate this particular work to SoLeo, since today is her birthday and I'm hoping that this little drabble will bring a smile to her face. Happy birthday, my friend. May your day, and year, be merry. :D
Call Me Harry...
When he wears flip-flops to breakfast and Potter starts drooling upon seeing his bare toes, Severus decides that “The Art Of Summer Loving: An Infallible Guide To Seduction” is the best book ever written.
Following the book's advice he 'forgets' to button his collar, shamelessly enjoying Potter's flustered reaction. Harry looks, but doesn't break until he implies to... love... skinny-dipping:
“You like swimming naked?”
“I enjoy everything I do while nude, Potter.”
Potter blushes charmingly:
“Some men prefer company when they're... unclothed.”
Severus agrees wholeheartedly:
“Who doesn't?”
“Would you... welcome mine?”
“I'd be delighted, Potter. Delighted.”
“Please, call me Harry...”

although I don't think that the book is actually working but it is nice to see him pursuing Harry.
Thank you for the lovely birthday gift pekeleke. I really enjoyed it.

Date: 2013-08-06 03:53 pm (UTC)And the best book ever written is not about potions! But love is more important than potions, right?

Date: 2013-08-09 05:00 pm (UTC)I can perfectly understand your surprise at his considering that the best book in the world isn't about potions. It's a great step in the right direction for Severus, isn't it? He does put love first, after all...
Thanks, as always, for your lovely comment, myk. Chatting to you about my little drabbles is a wonderful treat. :)

Date: 2013-08-06 09:10 pm (UTC)oh i like this one. i like when severus is the one doing the pursuing...or is that "i'm going to chase you till i let you catch me"??
(skinnydipping! hee!! oh yeah, memories...)

Date: 2013-08-09 05:09 pm (UTC)I like seeing Severus as the pursuer every now and then, too, although it is a lot more difficult to make him be the kind of sneakily-clueless-would-be-Romeo that he plays in this drabble than it is to fit Harry into that role.
Skinny-dipping is one of those few activities that not only feels totally liberating when you are doing it but it will always remind you afterwards that... yep... you were once that young. That crazy. And that amazingly bold. Not that I know anything about it, you understand. It's not like I was born on an island that has at least two nudist beaches...
Anyway, I'm thrilled that you enjoyed this little drabble. Thanks, as always, for your lovely comment. And I hope that you are feeling all better by now from that awful pneumonia that you almost caught.
Hugs
pekeleke

Date: 2013-08-09 05:27 pm (UTC)Wonderful news about this trip to see your granddaughter so soon. I almost fell off the chair laughing when I read about that text you got. The baby wants jewellery, eh...? I don't think this is the right time to tell your poor daughter that this is only the beginning, is it? She might never recover from that shock...
Have fun on your trip, my friend. :D
Hugs
