Severus’ Worth.

Severus stared at himself in the bathroom’s mirror, unable to recognize the disheveled creature staring back at him. This was someone he’d never seen before, someone Potter had awakened.

“Who are you?”  He asked this wide-eyed stranger.   “What the hell do you want?” His tousled reflection remained silent as Severus raised disbelieving fingertips to his kiss-swollen lips. “Passion. You want passion.” He whispered, appalled, remembering Potter’s offer of ‘a night to remember.’  “Potter’s passion won’t last. He’s out there, waiting to fuck you. Is one night all you’re worth?”

‘No. But-’

“Then don’t settle. Go home. Let yourself seek love.”

True. Severus definitely deserves all the nights and days anyone can give him. I think Harry agrees with us, too. He just needs to track down his Sev and tell him that, so they are both on the same page. ;)

I think you're right, keyairreem, neither of these two would ever settle for one night. They are both far too intense and emotionally fragile to take the concept of love lightly.

Harry will have to man up and tell Severus how he feels though, they'll never get anywhere until they realise they want the same thing from one another. :)

I wonder if Harry really only offered one night and if he did, would he follow Severus and seek him out. Would Harry give him what Severus wants? I hope he would. (Knowing you and Harry, he will! Of course he will.)

"Or maybe: Let love seek you?" Yes. I really think that's the better way to put things, at least when it comes to Severus Snape. Chances are Harry was trying to be Slytherin about the whole situation and ended up messing everything up because these two can't seem to manage to be on the same page at the same time. Hopefully, Harry will fix things right up as soon as he realises the true nature of Severus' concerns.
