Summary: For once, Harry has insider knowledge. He also has a plan to woo his man, and the determination to see it through. 
 

Insider Knowledge.

 

“What are you doing?”  Ron gaped, watching Harry waltz with his broom like a deranged ponce.

Harry blushed scarlet. “I’m learning to dance.”

“New girl?”  Ron’s delight dimmed when Harry looked away. “What's wrong?”

“It’s not a girl.”

“Oh!”

“And he’s not new. He’s—snarky, but I like him. And Malfoy swears he goes weak at the knees for men who can dance.”

“Bloody hell!  It’s Snape, isn’t it?”

“Ron-

“Snape. You’re learning to dance for Snape.”

“Yes.”

“Why?  Dancing is torture, Harry.”

“He likes it. Maybe he’ll reward me with-

“Ewwww!”

“Yummm!”

“Argh!”

“Ron, please-

“Fine!   Good luck, mate.”

LOL. Looks like we share the same head-canon for Severus. I've always pictured him as a fabulous dancer, so yes, Harry will have to practice really hard to impress Sev with his moves. ;)

"I would have never imagined Snape liking to dance." I, on the other hand, have always imagined that Severus would not only enjoy dancing, but would be particularly good at it. It's all that effortless gliding he does all over the castle, flaring teaching robes and all. ;)

In any case, Harry will have to both work hard and have Lady Luck on his side in order to get his man. ^.~

ROFL. Yes, Harry is certainly going to need all the luck he can get, if he plans to impress Severus with his moves. Hopefully seeing him putting so much effort into learning will gain him some brownie points to begin with, but who knows? Severus is certainly slytherin enough to make him sweat. ;)

I like accepting but slightly grossed out Ron. He's such a friend. Ah, I foresee much teasing from both Harry and Ron in the future. And just imagine once Severus steps in......

LOL. I think Ron wouldn't be Ron if he wasn't at least a bit grossed out by the idea of Harry snogging one of their most hated ex-professors. But you are right, his acceptance of Harry's feelings there, at the end, is proof of how good a friend he can be. Yes, there will be plenty of teasing each other in the future for these two, because I doubt they'll ever change that much, and who knows? maybe one day Severus will join in the fun, too. :)
