Professor Severus Snape strode into his classroom with his usual dramatic flair only to halt abruptly when he spotted the words written on his blackboard.
He stared at the familiar scrawl with shocked eyes, ignored the loud guffaws of his fifth year students and pinched his thigh surreptitiously, but the message remained the same:
So—Er... Question: Will you marry me, Severus?
a.- Yes
b.- a
c.- b
Severus wrote his answer and smirked, relishing the startled silence that replaced his students' gleeful chortles the moment they read it:
'Ask me on bended knee and I may say yes, Potter.'

Date: 2014-10-11 03:44 pm (UTC)Oh! You've been playing around in other fandoms? That's so cool! I've been doing a bit of that myself lately. I've been snared by the MCU people and I've gotten as far as to write a few pieces for them under a different pen name. May I ask what fandoms have caught your eye? I'm terribly curious, myk.
Anyway, I really hope you keep this lovely promise of yours and stick around here too. I do miss you something fierce every time you go away for so long, you know?
Hugs, as always

Date: 2014-10-14 09:13 pm (UTC)I've been in the Sherlock fandom for a year now, and in the Inception fandom for a couple of months. I adore the Inception fandom because the people love Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt so much that they have created some really amazing movie crossovers just to ship characters played by them. That is how I found a Warrior and 50/50 crossover and I love it. Yesterday I posted the last chapter of my own fic in this crossover. It's my favourite work and I'm very proud of it. It's in English so if you want, you can check it out here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/2387498/chapters/5275013
If you haven't seen the movies you can just read about them on wikipedia, because the fic is post-movies.

Date: 2014-10-15 07:35 pm (UTC)Woa... I like Sherlock, the series, and although I know plenty of people who often play around in that fandom I have never really gotten involved in it. I honestly don't know why. Same goes for inception. I really loved the movie, but reading fanfics about it gives me a headache every time I try to figure out whether the action is happening in real time or not. :D
I must confess that I've never even heard of either Warrior or 50/50, so I can't give you feedback on those, but I'll probably check out their plots on Wikipedia and have a look at this fic of yours when I have the time. The most important thing is that it looks like you are enjoying your fandom adventures and even writing yourself. That's absolutely wonderful, myk! :D
God luck with your story and, please, keep in touch.
Hugs

Date: 2014-10-09 01:53 am (UTC)Hello again pekeleke, it's been a while. 4 kids are exhausting me, and you would think that having 2 at school 3 hrs a day I would be able to get some rest, but that is not the case.
I've started reading drabbles during work. so my reading/writing has been suffering. I can't wait until I have some time to work on some of those unfinished projects that I want to share with everyone.

Date: 2014-10-09 01:45 pm (UTC)I remember how busy I was when my own little treasures were toddlers, so I understand perfectly well how very difficult it can be to find enough time not only to sit and read in peace, but also to write anything more artistic than those all-important shopping lists. Having said that I've seriously missed your beautiful contributions to this fandom of ours, my friend, and I think I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and keep on sending you good vibes to see if that helps you finish those projects of yours so that I can have the very selfish pleasure of reading them all. :D
Now, onto this review... I can understand what you are saying about how the story doesn't explicitly say that Harry wrote that message, but I was thinking that the kids are laughing so hard because they think somebody else, not themselves, has decided to prank Severus and they are just enjoying the show.
Sev, on the other hand, has immediately recognized his lover's distinctive scrawl, so he knows not only who wrote that particular message, but also how serious Harry must have been about his question to have risked provoking his own infamous temper with such public stunt. He is smirking there at the end because he is very vindictively enjoying the opportunity of returning the free publicity right back to Harry while shutting the kids up by letting them all know that he not only has a lover, but that lover happens to be the one and only Harry Potter, savior of the wizarding world.
Thanks so much for having taken some of your precious free time not only to read, but also to review, quite a few of my recent works. I still have a few more of your messages to answer, so I'll see you on the next one in a sec.
Hugs for now

Date: 2014-10-09 08:27 pm (UTC)Anyway, I love the way you condense everything- the feelings, the atmosphere of the class to Harry's own awkwardness through his scrawl (somehow) as well as Severus' reactions- using such few words! I can almost see the scene unfold before my eyes, and it's just that wonderful. I really like your explanation to how Severus knows this comes from Harry and no one else because he just recognizes his "lover's scrawl". Aww, that's just sweet :3
I'm rambling now, sorry! lol To sum it all up, awesome drabble!

Date: 2014-10-10 03:35 pm (UTC)First things first, let me tell you that there is absolutely no need for you to apologize for rambling at me. I love to be rambled at. I'm a pretty big rambler myself, so we are both in good company here. :D
I'm thrilled to hear that you've been following my stories and I think I know why you've missed this particular one. I recall hearing from you first on Ao3 and I only update that account once a month. All my work gets posted here as soon as it is written, since most of the communities I write for are based either here or at LJ/IJ, so this place is usually 3-4 weeks worth of drabbles ahead of my Ao3 account.
Now onto your actual review... I'm glad that you managed to get such a strong visual image of what was going on in this classroom from the pretty broad strokes I used here. Sometimes word count forces me to imply more things than I say and it is always wonderful to hear that a reader was able to picture the scene I had in my head when I wrote a 100, despite those word count limitations.
Thanks so much for taking the time not only to read this drabble but to also share your thoughts about it with me. Receiving your truly beautiful comment left me grinning from ear to ear. :)
I've got a couple more messages of yours left to answer, so I'll see you on the next one in just a sec.
Take care for now,
pekeleke

Date: 2014-10-27 10:22 pm (UTC)I'm so glad you liked Harry's stunt in this drabble. Thanks, as always, for taking the time to both read and review another work of mine. Your lovely comment was greatly appreciated. :D
