Harry sighed, reacting to his companion's discomfort:
“You don't do this very often.  Do you, Severus?”

“This being?”

“Drinking.   Dating.   Getting...  involved.”

Dark eyes confronted him warily.
“I don't really enjoy drinking and nobody has moved Heaven and Earth to get involved with me in almost a decade.”

Harry's heart sank.
“Do you want to stop?”

Severus frowned, confused.
“ What?  The drinking?”

“And the dating, Severus.  Don't forget the dating.”

“Harry...  I need to take this slowly.   It's been a very long time.”

Harry smiled, relieved.
“That's fine.   I want to go slowly, too.  Love should never be rushed.”

slow is good. understanding that you're both on the same page is BETTER, because then you can take things as you need to.

True. Knowing where exactly both of them are when it comes to the relationship will help them understand each other better and that, in turn, will allow them to have a much easier time when it comes to adjusting to the shock of having someone in their lives. I'm sure it won't be easy, but where there is a will there is a way and all that Jazz... :)

I think that Harry would do everything for Severus. More than moving Heaven and Earth. More than flying to the Moon. More than going to the Hell and back. If Severus wants to take it slowly - they will take it slowly. And it is so beautiful.

True. I like to think that Harry will do anything for Severus. That is usually the main theme in most of my stories, anyway. I love the idea that Severus will find someone willing to give him the same sort of romantic devotion that he once gave to Lily. I think he deserves it and I like to imagine that Harry is the perfect person to give him precisely that. They both compliment each other. They come from similar backgrounds and, if there is anyone out there strong enough and stubborn enough to try breaking through Sev's defenses, it is Harry...

So - does that mean Harry moved Heaven and Earth to get Severus to this point? lol. maybe his next feat will be to move mountains. - slowly.

on a side note - I've read through all the drabbles in my inbox now. I'm happy with my reading progress these last few days. almost ready to start working on my own stuff.

LOL. Yes. I'm pretty sure that Harry must have moved Heaven and Earth to get Severus this far and he'll probably will have to move not only mountains, but stubborn Slytherin head of houses too, in order to get them even further. But it'll all be worth it in the end... :)
