At least you weren't gone because you were sick and your comment reminded me of how long it takes for the internet services to be re-connected to your new address every time you move house in the UK. 3-6 weeks, it used to drive my family batty...
I heard about the storms you had over there, and I'm glad that you weren't trapped in any of them. We've had a pretty terrible winter around here so far. My garden has been buried in snow for weeks, but things are getting better slowly.
