Summary: No one is more shocked than Severus Snape when Harry Potter approaches him to discuss... mashed potatoes.
 

A Culinary Interlude.

'Stay cool. Don't babble. You can do this.' Harry reminded himself just as a sleepy-eyed, pajama-clad Severus Snape opened the door, rendering him temporarily insane.
“OMG! I'm toast.”

”Excuse me?”

“You may think I'm as sexy as mashed-potatoes, but... you actually like mashed-potatoes.”

Severus blinked.
“What?”

“You're one of those fantastic beasts who can turn a man's knees to jelly with a single, heated look and I...”

“Let me guess... You're jelly, too.”

Potter looked stricken.
“I'm sorry, Severus. I thought...

“Wait, Po...-Harry. I... adore... mashed-potatoes.”

Harry beamed.
“Really?”

Severus kissed him tenderly.
“Yes. I love toast and jelly, too...”

Oh, the embarrassment! Harry is adorable really.
and I'm not sure if Harry has arrive too early in the day, or too late in the evening. Either way a pajama clad Severus is a very yummy sight!
and I get the feeling that Sev is going to tease him about all the food references later.

There's no way you can blame me for your current hunger, myk. That was all Harry's fault... Seeing our Sev in his lovely pajamas messed with his head something fierce and you know how he gets when he's nervous... Thank Merlin that Severus seemed to find all that babbling so cute... :)

LOL, I have been giggling from the first sentence to the last:) Poor Harry, he has a debilitating anxiousness when it comes to Severus, as I see. Fortunately Severus built up a tolerance for jelly covered mashed potatoes with toast. Or for babbling adorable gryffindors obviously in love:)

True. Poor Harry has a debilitating condition that makes him lose his marbles every time Severus answers his door in his pajamas and our poor, long-suffering Sev happens to be so used to his Gryffindor's 'condition' that he has learned to speak 'Harry-ish'. ;)
