I enjoyed part with May Queen because in Poland we don't celebrate this. We only have first day of spring at 21st March and teens celebrate Truancy Day this day. Something more "magic" is Kupala Night (23/24 June). At 1st May we only celebrate Labour Day. So I don't know anything about Beltane, I only read something about Walpurgis Night when I was younger and I was reading Margit Sandemo The Legend of the Ice People. So your story was not only entertaining but also educating for me! x)
