Summary: Harry Potter isn't a great fan of modern love. But he is willing to negotiate with the right candidate.

 

Modern Negotiations.

Their eyes connected, halting Potter's words. Their laughter faded into awkward silence and Severus' breath hitched, waiting for a kiss that never came.

“I can't do this, Severus.”

Bitter disappointment dashed his unreasonable hopes and he turned away, unwilling to expose his tattered emotions any further. Inviting Potter to dinner had been foolish. He'd been aiming too high all along...
“I understand.”

“I don't think you do. I want...”

“I get the picture, Potter!”

“Listen to me! Modern love leaves me cold. I want marriage. Children. A Chihuahua...”

Severus gaped, appalled.
“A Chihuahua?”

Harry laughed, relieved.
“The Chihuahua is... negotiable.”

a chihuahua? no. but a yorkshire terror, i mean *terrier*, i could see. ;)

wonderfully done! and of course harry wants the whole shebang, who wouldn't with that handsome potions master?

(me, i have a tiny poodle. less than 7 pounds, and an excellent watcher-of-mom, who has alerted on blood sugar lows several times for me now. yay servicedog!)

LOL. I can't honestly picture them with either the Chihuahua or the terror, sorry, I meant Terrier. I always imagine that Severus will be kind of... "allergic" to pets of any kind and Harry... well, it's true that he strikes me as a dog person, but I can only picture him with something huge, clumsy and really hairy. :D

Yes, I can definitely understand why Harry will want to have ALL of Severus to himself. A sexy man like that won't last out there for long, will he?
