Severus’s knees turn to mush, “Darn. That was beautiful.”

Potter beams, “It was?”

“You know it was,” Severus grumbles, “Now confessing I love you back feels more epilogue than final act.”

“You love me?” Potter goggles.

“Yes.”

“B-but you shot down the symphony!”

“I had to. I was angsting, Potter.”
