In The Know.
Severus’s lips tremble as Potter’s retreat. A sigh dances across his kiss-swollen mouth, and Severus, eyes tightly closed, wonders what, precisely, happens now.
His colleague laughs under his breath, the sound slightly incredulous but not cruel. Severus opens his eyes then, facing crookedly-placed spectacles and widened green eyes.
“I can’t believe you kissed me back,” Potter whispers like it’s a secret, and Severus fears that’s what this interlude will become.
“Would you have preferred I hadn’t?”
“No! I— Merlin. I don’t ever want you to stop.”
“Really?”
“Wait. You didn’t know that?”
Severus smiles radiantly, “I know it now, Harry.”
