LOL. Yes, this particular version of Shacklebolt was a bit of a prejudiced prat, but I needed him to showcase the sort of attitude Severus might encounter in the future, especially among the ministry elite. I wanted this chapter to be one for serious reflection and exploration of what it’d mean for Severus to move on with his plans to stay with Harry. I wanted his final choice to be one that he’s thought about properly, a decision made carefully not only with his heart but also with his mind. :)

"Aww, what a beautiful image! It feels so full of adventure, daring, and life. I love it. ^^" Yes, those are the exact emotions that I wanted to attach to the image of Severus as a little, daring, moonbeam. So far, you are the first person to mention that particular line, which I, personally, think pretty much summarises the entire fic. :)
