I think the whole point of this one is that nobody gets to know whether Harry is being a fool or not, not even Harry himself. I know he is aware of the conflict of interest inherent in his choice between his auror career and his wish to allow himself to fall for Severus' seduction, but I was playing with the idea that the truest conflict of interest anyone can ever face is the decision to set aside our chance to get what we truly want in order to settle for what we think we can have. I'm with you there, though. I hope Harry doesn't settle. :)
