It is true that Harry wasn't as smooth as he could have been at the beginning, but he definitely put all his 'gryffindorness' into getting his Severus. And yes, I'd say Severus is definitely intrigued enough to give Harry the time he needs to woo him properly, which bodes well for the durability of whatever relationship they end up building from this.
I'd bet Harry will be on his best behavior during that dinner, since he can not afford to mess things at this point. There's shagging in the balance, after all. ;D
