You are not the only one who was upset at Severus' 'premature' change back. The thing is: this story was written in response to the adventdrabbles daily challenges and they were coming to an end. I had to bring this fic to it's conclusion before I ran out of prompts and this was too good of an opportunity, plot-wise, to let go. I'm sure Severus himself would have enjoyed a little more time to spend with 'his' boys in kitten form, but hopefully he'll be able to do that in human form now, so things will work out for him one way or another. :D
